A lot of my posts have become stories of what I encounter each day.
For anyone who does not know,
I work with children ages 5 to 11.
I teach them how to read.
I mostly want to record some funny things that I hear children say.
Therefore, some of my posts will be just that. Like today's post.

I was testing a first grade girl. This girl, in fact, is the same girl that said "shit."
She is kind of spacey at times.
I gave her a piece of paper with some letters on it.
I pointed to one and asked her what letter it was.
She was not answering and the test is timed, so I was trying to hurry her up a little bit.
I asked her again if she knew what letter that was.
She responded, "I'm sorry. I was trying to guess, but I was looking at your nail polish."
Oh. goodness.
And then she proceeds to say all the letters in a deep, scruffy, man voice.
bahahahaha.
I have to tell her to use her normal voice.
Another story. . .
I helped out in another first grade room.
After reading a story to the class, a boy walks up to me.
He then says, "May I hug you?... I am starting to like you."
Really? lol I had no idea this kid didn't like me. :)
kids are so innocently honest. i love it! :)
